BBQ fundraiser for David Shepherd & Cystic Fibrosis on Sat, April 29th from noon til 4pm at the Fraternal Order of Police, 2475 County Rd 220 in Middleburg. David is 6 years old and was diagnosed at birth with Cystic Fibrosis. Due to his illness he is admitted to the hospital for treatments 3 to 4 times each year for long periods of time.
His family works hard to provide for all of David’s needs and to make his life as good as possible but the medical bills and the costs of the disease are never ending.
They also ask for your continued prayers for David and other children with life threatening illnesses.
What is Cystic Fibrosis?
Cystic fibrosis affects the cells that produce mucus, sweat, and digestive juices. It causes these fluids to become thick and sticky. They then plug up tubes, ducts, and passageways.
The life expectancy of people with cystic fibrosis is 30 years.
Where Will The Money Raised Go?
To pay for David’s medical bills, travel expenses, time taken off of work, meals and lodging.
Part of the money raised will also go to the cystic fibrosis foundation to help find a cure and Dreams Come True.
What If I Can’t Go But Want To Donate?
David has a donation page which can be found here:https://www.youcaring.com/david-shepherd-563382/update/608135
